🔗AI-Powered Translation Features
AI translation engines (Gemini AI and Mistral AI) offer enhanced capabilities:
- Plural form support — They can translate all plural forms of a string at once, respecting the target language’s plural rules.
- Contextual awareness — They consider developer comments and instructions attached to strings.
- Term Base integration — Terminology from your project’s Term Base is used to ensure consistent translations.
- AI Context instructions — You can provide project-level and locale-level instructions to guide the AI’s translation style, tone, and terminology preferences.
🔗Setting Up Machine Translation
To enable machine translation, click on the machine translation icon in the translation toolbar and select the translation engine you’d like to use.
🔗How Suggestions Are Ranked
Note that you won’t necessarily get suggestions from Machine Translation engines for a string if suggestions from the Project Translation Memory or the Global Translation Memory rank higher.
